Trio Fedele
"Chamber music at its finest" are the words of critics, who praise Trio Fedele for their "clarity, energy" and "communicative, like-minded approach." This unique instrumental combination of flute, cello, and piano offers engaging performances of varied repertoire which spans the Baroque to 21st Century. With performances in major venues, including Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center, The National Gallery and Library of Congress, Teatro Colon, IRCAM in Paris, Tokyo's Suntory Hall and The Victoria Theatre in Singapore, they have captivated audiences on four continents. The Philadelphia Inquirer states, "They developed subtle color shifts while sustaining a mood that combined poetry and tension...soaring melodic scenes and virtuosic displays." Trio Fedele's world-premiere recording of Lowell Liebermann's trios Op. 83 and 87 (commissioned by the group), was noted in Fanfare Magazine as "a truly important album . . . a Want List nomination." Flutist, David Fedele, entered the international spotlight as winner of the Young Concert Artists International Audition Award, and shortly thereafter founded Trio Fedele, where he is joined by cellist Matthew Herren and pianist Dan Velicer. Individually, trio members frequently perform with The Manhattan Sinfonietta, New York's Orchestra of St. Luke's, Ensemble 21, American Composers Orchestra, The New York New Music Ensemble, The Kansas City Symphony, and The Chamber Music Society of Kansas City, giving them each a notable presence on the American music scene. For over a decade Trio Fedele has gained distinction by developing intriguing programs and presenting virtuosic, engaging performances to audiences of all ages.
